Hot & Humid conditions, to train or not to train?


If you have kick started your preseason training be mindful of hot & humid conditions. Horses retain heat differently to humans and can suffer from heat stress, especially when heat is combined with humid conditions. It is important to take note of the temperature and the level of humidity before you exercise your horse and be aware of the symtoms of heat stress. Guidelines can be found at
